More like tipping decade but close enough. We all expected this and it won't be entirely predictable or consistent, oil price may collapse and EV shortages will demand high prices, ICE mfgs may offer fire sales, in the short run. For those watching this automotive revolution, the most economic thing might be to keep their old ICE cars on the road for a few more yrs. That '90's Civic may be cheaper to own/operate for a while still, just bc it's worth 40 or $60k less and that money is better invested elsewhere...fewer miles driven can tip the scale....one who only drives 2k miles/yr, say, should maintain and run old Honda for much of this decade, run it into the ground then buy cheap used EV. Invest in TSLA instead. ;-) (I sure don't want another $60k sitting in my drive next to my ol' BMWs, HA!)

With all due humor and respect--the colonies (USA) will give Euro a run for it just because of Tesla but also Chinese/Asian batt and EV investment. (VW and others too?) I believe Tesla may produce 4M in The States alone by late 2025?...no guarantees but Austin is going to be building and ramping for the foreseeable future with production rates well beyond even Tesla-China is today while Shanghai, Berlin and whatever TBA plants, continue to ramp for yrs too, baring more CCP insanity, etc.

@nickkacures2304 Energy and oil is what it always was and will be. Supply and demand. Don't vilify fossil fuel Co.s, they saved the whales and global forests, no mean feat. They made little in recent yrs and doing catch up now. They made us prosperous, only serving our needs and desires. Time for next several decades for fossils to fade away. Hats off salute no all they've done for us.

GREAT POINT about US EV orders vs annual sales of all cars. Embrace those willing to pay for sentimental antiques! Who doesn't appreciate a 1927 Dodge Brothers sedan? History kept alive by a thin string of museum pieces that ONLY EXIST cuz someone wanted to remember the past.
