  1. If they want batt minerals sourced in the US they need to overhaul the regulatory process , without that NOTHING else will help. Currently it's 10 plus yrs just to get regulatory mine/mill approval, changing that takes actual leadership which is hard but would save money all around instead of more inflationary taxing PORK like this bill.

  2.  @mukamuka0  They have no clue how fast EV sales are going to ramp, more spending we can't afford. You want more inflation to MAYBE accelerating 3% what is already off to the races?? Think about your grandkids, national debt so obscene they will be paying for our recklessness. Best thing US government can do is OPEN THE DARN ROAD for domestic production and refining! Allow the USA do it's share of raw material production. We can do it cleanest and competitively for a multiple metals. Today 70% Globally goes thru China, good on this bill to steer us away from there, we'll be far to dependent on evil CCP still. But EVs and key elements markets need no extra outside interference beyond that. EV train left the station yrs ago Please let it roll is all I ask of government. ((((and I loath paying taxes to subsidize ICE, aka., hybrids that will be scrap in 4 yrs, gone like the flip phone)))
