@jestercat7723 They have the option of very mild couple thousand miles (not some teenager hot rodding it) or pay $2/3k for delivery and wait a week or two more. Smart money takes the discount and that trivial extra mileage means nothing at 50k plus miles.

Not a good look caring only 5 Teslas when diesels are toting 8.

@hardcoreherbivore4730 Yah nah what? Would you take a couple grand discount to have new car drive to you? Not as if you are obligated to accept it if anything is wrong.

@truhartwood3170 As a rule they should be hauling max load for any significant distance.

@truhartwood3170 Get a grip. Since when do you see serious semi carriers with only 5 on them? 5 car carriers are literally for *pickup trucks*. Likely it's just a lack of charging infrastructure which will obviously be remedied over time, still not a good look.

@truhartwood3170 LOOK at the damn little trailer, it only has 5 capacity. GOOD GRIEF. Had they dropped 3 and carried on 5 that's different, not possible with that puny Tesla setup.

@truhartwood3170 Some of you are so damned emotional you can't see straight with the slightest hint of criticism of supreme being Tesla. (sort of like the cult of the man Nikola Tesla)

@jestercat7723 Obviously they'll offer a discount for a form of delivery that saves them thousands. What if the truck driver crashes with your car on it or it get's hit by a meteorite?! You don't have to accept the car either way dingbat. The reason you can't afford a Tesla is due to your emotional response to monetary issues, failing to save a buck per mile is why you are a peasant. :D

@jestercat7723 Ding ding ding....some of us have business sense and others are poor and "happy" (apparently) to continue to be clueless peasants. OBVIOUSLY Tesla knows there is a slight devaluation to a car with a few miles on it and will give up most of the cost difference in order to save time and the shipping balance. Moot point as you won't be purchasing one anyway, frankly that's best, as one of millions with a fortune in the name I don't like to see idiots in the brand.

@jestercat7723 I drove old econboxes for decades, as a result I can now drive what I WANT to drive...wouldn't recommend to most anyone else but 2011 BMW M3 (old BMW 330 as daily, still fun), 3 pedal is most engaging, visceral and something of a replacement for the "crotch rockets" of my youth which I also wouldn't recommend. lol. For a family sled I'd recommend a Tesla 3 or Y-- obviously?....completely diff class of vehicle.

@jestercat7723 Boy howdy, nearly scrapped my old 330 last month due to someone rolling out in front of pickup to my right (sitting low I couldn't see it coming) and pickup swerving into my lane as hard and quick as it could and me swerving into center lane to make room...missed eachother by maybe 3 ft. or 1/4 second. Why I have a daily driver, aka., "towny" and one of litany of reasons I choose rural over urban life, can't stand daily 'soul crushing traffic'. Here in Commifornia city centers have gone to hell anyway, not fun anymore. We have some world class lessor traveled mountain roads in farther N. Cali to enjoy with stunning destinations, unreproducible natural landscape why I put up with horrific political landscape....plus business and general entrenchment, climate and a loathing for flatlands. Enjoy whatever you do! :D
