That footage is from I-80 between Sacramento and Reno, Eastbound--multiple long stretches of 6% plus grade from a few hundred ft altitude to 8000 (not super steep), typical semis do around 35mph up and not much faster DOWNHILL due to risk of over working brakes, while car traffic can be doing 80mph plus. I've never had much of a problem with it nor seen any close calls over decades of traversing the Sierras there in part due to semis rarely passing eachother and double or triple lanes. (with exceptions of winter snow)
