  1. DarqeDestroyer Perhaps you'd be better off focusing on why our forests are disasters waiting to happen. The primary problem is fuel build up from a century plus mismanagement. Prior to that fires were so frequent they only cleaned up the small stuff, it was healthy for the forest, some trees can't even reproduce without fire they are so adapted to it. Big old trees (say 1k yr.s old or more) have survived untold numbers of fires burning past them just fine. Now we have created a very difficult situation for ourselves, entirely man made, but nothing major ever changes without disasters.

  2. If enough outrage is voiced by us things will change. I don't know the details but a yr. later now I see these jumbos ARE being utilized in Cali fires this yr.
