@donaldclifford5763 More than the next 7 biggest national military budgets combined, and most of them happen to be our allies.

@donaldclifford5763 Thank cost plus contracts which guarantee waste, extreme cost overruns, thank old American empire legacy and too many bases all over the planet, money politics....many things. How much Gods have to do with it hard to estimate but it can't be good.

@joe18750 Sure, but we have existential threatening debt levels, we won't be able to fend off Cuba if we don't slash spending, you must have an economy before anything else is possible. The war machine must be part of those cuts. It doesn't even require less preparedness, massive waste is inherent in the system.

Picked a good time tho in the sense that the West severely weakened itself with insane lockdowns and he was waiting for Orange Man Bad to be gone as he promised to bomb Moscow if Putin invaded....cringy as that is it beats real war.
