Externally yes, but revving up 1.4B Chinese to hate the rest of world is very dangerous.

@marshamarshamarsha4567 Yeah freedom has never been free nor perfect but it's a lot better now in America than it was say 50 yr.s ago on average--ask a minority or alternative sexual orientation person about that. Always plenty of room for improvement naturally.

She was a doctor but not in the USA she isn't.
20
They think controlling the land is everything but they'll learn via resulting starvation. I don't want my tax $ going to save them 2 yrs from now.
16
@stedavid13 That's NOT the way legit inventory is stored and they are (apparently) 2 yrs old, not new inventory.
12
Reinforcing their blatant paranoia of loss of power.
11
@Darkness-ie2yl Cruel? You mean you have to take care of yourself and your business and you aren't entitled to anything other than pursuit of success and happiness?
9
Wasteful for sure but battery elements will be endlessly recycled in the mid to high 90's% recovery range. Command economies are always horribly wasteful.

@captaindeliciouspants6969 The difference is the USSR was communist and the CCP really isn't anymore, it's just a authoritarian gov without any safety net. You can starve individually in China today but in the USSR you'd be in the same condition no matter if you work or not, work hard and get punished for it, a defining characteristic of communism. At least you can get relatively ahead thru your own effort in China but you are stuck in the same cesspool environment even if you are Jack Ma.

Just another anecdote: Eon Musk's father (not an entirely admirable individual but that's other story) had to fend off 4 or 5 gun wielding thugs at his home, he shot one or two of them.

She was but no longer a "doctor", not in the USA. Anyway you don't know her she might be misreble to live with for all we know.

I seriously doubt the genetic explanation, my Chinese sister in law is the fattest in our family here in America. :D

@calendarphotoscamera1 Canuck It's likely there are important differences in biology but those are clearly overwhelmed by lifestyle. I've always been slim but I never made a habit of cheap burgers, fries, (tho I can enjoy them I just don't much) or sugar water we all take for granted--haven't had as much as a12 oz. 'Coke' but maybe a few times in my entire life. Never much liked the stuff, it's weirdly artificial. But I wasn't indoctrinated via TV bc we never had one. Never needed Scott's Turf Builder, Roundup, Pepsi, opiates/pain killers....
3
@captaindeliciouspants6969 It's a totalitarian regeme with the TITLE of Communism. They don't even have USA level of social safety net, we are more Communist than the CCP. CCP stands for corruption, suppression of truth, limiting the power and influence of it's ppl (Jack Ma) and maintaining power, that's all. And it's become significantly worse in recent yrs.

Pack a dummy wallet that explodes when opened.
3
@ReignOfdark My point is you are making broad assumptions based on what....a few minutes of video that they want to show us? We are not privy to their private lives. I've had GFs that everyone thought were great, and they were great half the time, they didn't see the insane toxic daily tirades that carried on for hr.s with no reason or purpose. My understanding is she will have to strive just to be a nurse in the US not remotely about to be a "doctor".
3
Easy to say form a distance, these folks built their lives there, terribly hard to leave. But they must leave.
3
Yes it has, WW2 and especially THE Cold War were far more immediately dangerous, we were justified in fearing everyday might be our last during, before and after the 1960's.
2
@captaindeliciouspants6969 For highly informed content on subject these guys lived there for a decade or so, loved the country, married Chinese women and then barely escaped with their lives and families just a yr or so ago, bc they showed the whole truth in their YT vids which of course you cannot do in China::: ADVChina (and related channels if you find it worthwhile) Apparently there is less redistribution in China today then in most of the West. Again--literally 100's of millions living on a $1.5 or less per day while many others are very prosperous. How we label it is becoming a semantic argument which I don't care much about.
2
Sad life you've lived.
2
Hats off to Ausies for holding the line with China.
2
@serpentza Yeah I'm prone to road trips too and don't see major impediments to it at this point and fuel is cheap. (my fave BMW M3 V8 is fairly thirsty)
2
@luyfljf862 Just like governments in general you meant, certainly inc Dems. But at least we can slander and fire them all , NOT SO in China.
2
Interesting and depressing. Most homeless ppl don't have initiative to do anything for themselves usually.
2
Situation normal for China. Perhaps part of the reason Berkshire has been selling the stock for about a yr. (why don't u just buy TSLA Warren and Munger??)
2
Most welcome to Cali!.... although I think you'er on the inferior end of the state but that's from someone who can't handle daily congestion, traffic, small expensive home lots, etc. Hence 'farther' NorCali is for me. (couple hr.s N. of Sacramento)
1
@goodvibes2334 BULLSHIT. There exist all kinds of racist notions without diversity which the original comment confirms.
1
@seanfabien1289 Did you flat fail to understand the original post??
1
@angrydragon4574 Sure it COULD become, certainly not now. Think in terms of an endless supply of Soviet H-bombs, these are not the firecrackers dropped on Nagasaki and Hiroshima, NO disrespect nor diminishment of those. H-bombs are 100's X more powerful, measured in MEGAtons of TNT, not a dozen kilotons. They don't just level most of a cities structures they leave a vast crater and incinerate everything on the surface for dozens of miles around. We had enough to kill everyone on Earth about 50X over. Not sure what the CCP has but I don't think it compares to what we faced in 1970's and before from both the USA and USSR. It was truly insane. We were taught in grade school from day one and had drills, how to get under a desk, bend over "and kiss your ass goodbye". We still have far too many, one Trident sub can take out some 250 cities, all the major cities of the USSR say...just ONE submarine with MIRVed ICBMs.

@calendarphotoscamera1 Canuck What's the matter with you? Did I offend you? I come from places where yards are important and often large. If opiates weren't directly promoted on TV they sure as hell were via 'the right to be pain free' and your local Dr. would do the rest. I don't expect anything from YOU but I'm beginning to.
1
@calendarphotoscamera1 Canuck Get well soon! ASSHOLE. lol
1
Bring in a large bucket front end loader and a few end-dump trucks. 😉
1
LOVE your passion, courage and conviction in your basic morality.

"Sudden acceleration" is not new nor unique to EVs and has always been user error in the past with a couple exceptions.
1
2:57 puts a smile on my face. :D
1
Ausies need to translate all their significant media sources into Chinese....I know that's not easy but it's doable.
1
Resist, noncompliance and vote against Leftists and for relative Libertarian, aka., liberty loving representatives. Can't be certain but I believe there's going to be a big shift in the USA against the machine.
1
@bvkronenberg6786 IDK averages but it's never been easier to earn triple digits and become an "everyday millionaire" in America as it is today. Might be why our borders are constantly being mobbed.
1
@mrduuud You know that's total bullshit. 100% about motivation and self discipline. NEVER been easier to learn anything and everything. I had to spend endless hrs in liberaries, going thru books, copying pages, microfilm....now infinitely more is at our finger tips. You can teach self anything that doesn't require physical activity, FOR FREE. Pity most the trust fund babies they miss the crucial struggle for survival that EARNS us pride, competence and real confidence . Most pathetic ppl I've known had it "EASY". Everyone struggles, you may see man in an impossibly expensive sports car with a smile, you do NOT KNOW if he's thinking of driving into the next concrete overpass column at 120mph.
1
Seems ominous to copy USSR propaganda given the end results there.
1
Stay safe locked and loaded. Best wishes.
1
@captaindeliciouspants6969 They allow a massive disparity of wealth, that is not possible under Communism, period, with the exception of government elite. They have Jack Ma and 100's of millions living in squalor and poverty.
1
@captaindeliciouspants6969 Call it what you like. Those two actually censored themselves quite a lot when in China but not enough for authorities who rallied the nationalist idiots against them. No doubt they have an axe to grind with the CCP but now in Cali they can spill it all. And they are still in danger here in America, courageous dudes I respect. Check 'em out for in-depth insights to what tourists don't see or experience, how it really is.

Fundamental problem with community property: Everyone owns it is the same as nobody owns it. What you show here is not only no maintenance but also no building standards or pride in workmanship.
1
Trump get's credit for confronting CCP in some ways but he doesn't give a shit about the environment.
1
Hard to even watch, but most of the seed oils used in USA are toxic right from the get go. Watch those processes and you might change your habits.
1
"'By force of habit he boils the tap water in Japan'" ...that's a telling statement on China tap water.
1
Seems this happens to most white farmers in that region.
1
@ReignOfdark Good to hear that. Thanks!
1
@tarmynastyr Being based on reality is essential, I'm unreasonably optimistic, some times that takes courage, some is necessary but can be hazardous too.
