  1. SlurpEee25 If were going to toss out "credentials" I one up you---I have near 40 yr.s of working with heavy steel plus a degree in Mech. Engineering, I don't give a crap about "official" or not it's obvious that those towers never had a chance after those impacts nearly an order of magnitude more energetic than they were built to withstand, PLUS the fire. Amazing how well The Twins took those hits, no tall structure can be expected to take that.

  2. SlurpEee25 Learn to reality check yourself. Have you ever played with the likes of a Colt 45 pistol? Those planes were going about the speed of those .45 cal bullets. Aircraft aluminium is roughly the same strength of the structural steel it impacted (by volume) but far higher strength design by necessity. Of course it's going to slice right thru the steel at those ballistic speeds! Even a weak lead bullet can penetrate some sheet steel at those speeds. WTF are you thinking?? going to bounce off at 500 mph!? Take a look at what happens to an F-4 Phantom hitting a blast wall built to protect a nuclear reactor at around the same speed, it can't penetrate much but it sure doesn't "bounce off does it"? https://youtu.be/--_RGM4Abv8
