You are way out of date, things are changing FAST. Future (and many currently on the market, LFP) batts will last decades, longer than ICE cars or current EVs can last today regardless of batteries. After 500k to 1M miles the batts will have lost some 20/25% of capacity, making them impractical for vehicles but still fine for stationary storage for another decade or so. After that they are treated as high grade ore with 95% recovery of metals. None of that justifies mandates, we all need to push back against excessive government, become a little more Libertarian. I've become simply anti-Leftist in recent yrs.

"Coming from money" is a massive handicap for any young person, nothing more pathetic than "trust fund babies" who've had all their ambition curtailed via having it too easy. It's up to all of us to be more Libertarian and reduce government influence.

Dumb drivers end up in dumb situations. A Tesla and others can keep you warm enough for couple days.

Agree but it's not going to make a difference, the transition is going to happen much faster than the dumb mandates. It's also so the pols can claim credit for something they had little to do with, the technology was advanced by private enterprise to the point it's increasingly affordable. Wasn't long ago that such mandates would have been impossible as they'd have required $100k cars few could afford.

@henrycollins2478 Must be a personal problem or the MachE is much worse than I thought, they should take it back to Ford, that's ridiculous. Norway is loaded with EVs and it's not a problem, yes you will lose some 30% range but ICE lose some range in cold too plus they have to be warmed up and so on.

Agree that propaganda works and most ppl badly misled, but the poor are going to benefit the most (regardless of retarded mandates and such) with the best economy cars ever that cost 1/4 as much to operate. EV mandates won't have significant effect as the market place has already determined a transition much faster than 2035, pols will claim credit for something they had little to do with.

Because governments are the opposite of Libertarian and they are the ultimate monopolies. These stupid mandates on EVs won't have any significant effect because the market is determining they are that much better, transition will naturally be much faster than 2035. Pols will take credit for something they had little to do with. The public has been manipulated by fake news to believing CO2 drives climate when the data shows otherwise...propaganda works.

@JM-bh7wn No offense but I'm so sick of both sides caring on about stolen elections with zero evidence-- UNLESS you are referring to Hunter's laptop, the FBI and most of establishment media Leftist propaganda. Don't copout and dropout like the hippies advocated in the 1960's for similar reasons.

@JM-bh7wn Resources buy SOME freedom but I wouldn't want to be a billionaire in China or Russia where being honest is a capital crime, vs a poor man in the West. Similar goes for Western nations retarded Covid reactions...not poor but I lost freedoms in alarming fashion. Make your own wealth, that's the way it's done I know many wealthy and very few who inherited it unless a ranch/farm, family biz that they lived and worked their entire lives in, at least partially earned it. Grandpa could have set us all up with millions, sure glad he didn't.
