The IPCC has explicitly stated extreme weather events have not increased and I don't think they said they "will become more likely" in the future.

@BrianStewart126 I'm not aware of that but I'll stay tuned. It would be some coincidence if 280ppm atmospheric CO2, near all time lows, just happened to be ideal for humanity or life on Earth in general. I believe, at this point, that 500ppm is probably a lot better and safer. It's not as tho this planet was designed for humans, granted we were "designed" for it and...say 2000ppm might even begin to mess with our physiology directly....that ain't gonna happen. Fossil fuels are on the road to obsolescence simply due to technology and economics, tho few seem to realize it.
