  2. TOO much so sometimes. You always start with respect but thug cops got away with murder for far to long due to uncritical respect. I can tell you about the bad old days in my tiny town, 1980's, where the PD (with few notable good guy exceptions) was a den of renegade ruthless abusive cops. Regardless--best wishes to this trooper and hats off to his 'savior'.
