@stefanossmitty3318 Comfort is a luxury most can't afford and it's overrated anyway. Been driving for 45 yrs and never owned bran new car, never made payments, exception for a 1-ton service chassis crucial for business. Also DIY most everything, maintenance, etc. Last used car I bought cost me $45k cash but I can afford it after decades of driving econoboxs.

@Joeblo-i9c NO. A home is not generally a depreciating asset and living in one is partially paid by rent saved, cars devalue very fast especially from new.

@Joeblo-i9c Suit yourself, I've been driving for 45 yrs and never owned a new car. By now I can buy anything I want for cash 20X over. (I don't desire anything I can think of worth more than $100k new) "Live poor to become wealthy."
