@oscarpotter2551 Ppl have to maintain default of skepticism in every walk of life including peer reviewed papers and academic orthodoxy of the moment. One thing for sure--these sorts of events have happened countless times on Earth. (you might choose hypothesis over theory bc scientific theory is the highest certainty of truth available while colloquially it means hypothesis at best)
