  2. That's cool. Some joked that it was payback for when Ausies helped at crucial time (Apollo 13 maybe?) when we couldn't otherwise communicate with our astronauts. I was at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, Cali when the 1st Shuttle returned, watching it on TV and ran outside to catch the sonic boom, hearing it really makes it seem near. Same for meteors which I've had pleasure of hearing a couple times.
