I want all the best for Europe, but as American, I don't care to support let alone fight for any regime that is going tyrannical via censorship - arrests for insults, memes, etc. That's a fundamental violation of our basic human rights expectations. At some point it's hard to say a lot of EU/UK is better than Putin's Russia. We have way too many military bases all over the world, Germany of all places should be capable of defending itself. If our presence is widely resented, respectfully exit. Could be that NATO is not much longer viable for US in Europe while remaining crucial in SE Asia and Australia. The "nuclear umbrella" could remain separate from withdrawal of conventional forces, we don't want to incentivize nuke weapons proliferation obviously.

  2. Establishment media seems to be a global problem, same for here in USA but it's fortunately on the decline. Government funded media always becomes some version of Pravda and thanks to DOGE we just learned a lot more of that is going on here than anyone knew, including funding for the BBC even, all of it expected to be terminated now. We have a pitched battle going between Leftist blanket support of faceless unelected unaccountable buearacrucy and Constitutional Republic Democracy, which shockingly - only the Right seems to care about at the moment.
