They are not necessary but mine are made of stainless steel I also have a pack of plastic bendy straws that are probably 20 years old and they're still perfectly fine once in a great while I use one I think if you don't waste things so much just buy things and toss them in the garbage you're all right. There was a hundred in that pack of plastic straws I mean how many times are you going to use them but people over purchase and throw things out too easily

@urbugnmetoday3183 sometimes if I make a gigantic smoothie I like to use one and just keep the straw in there and then kind of Stir It if I let it sit for a while

I never had any trouble with a paper straw but it's not the kind of thing where you can just leave it in your drink and sip on it for an hour if you drink your drink or milkshake with it and you're done it's all good but we have a habit of walking around with our drinks like we are 8-month-old with Baby Bottle we also have a habit of peeing every 2 or 3 hours like we are newborns getting our diapers changed that frequently most people don't need to go to the bathroom maybe once or twice a day but people these days physically not in that great shape LOL

Well they think wood burning pollutes the air and they don't like people having fireplaces or wood stoves or starting campfires but it's okay to just leave it all on the ground and burn it all up at once so there's so much pollution in the air California pollution or Canada's pollution comes all the way down to New York State
