@WillCutting-ms2wy this is just terrible journalism so I understand how you're confused. If you look into this you'll find that the teens were causing enough of a disturbance that the driver had to stop , turn off bus and call supervisor. Then police were notified and the teens attempted to flee the scene. He simply said you're not allowed to leave ,police are on the way to which they assaulted him. At one point they kick him in the head while he's down. If you witness a crime you're legally allowed to detain someone. The gender of the criminal is irrelevant. I'd be more inclined to believe the teens innocence if they didn't tackle him to the ground outside the bus and kick him in the head.

The driver had to stop, turn off bus and call supervisor because they were causing a disturbance. At that point police were notified and the juveniles were attempting to flee the scene. He simply said you cannot leave police are in the way and they assaulted him. At one point they kicked him in the head as he was down.

@WillCutting-ms2wy the bus driver had to stop , turn off bus and call his supervisor because they were causing a disturbance. They tried to flee the scene after police were called. At that point the driver told them not to leave and then they assaulted him and kicked him in the head as he was down. Real stand up kids👍

@WillCutting-ms2wy the guy is literally just trying to do his job. A citizen arrest implies you detained someone. He clearly steps aside. I'd say he just informed them the police are in the way and you can't leave and then he moved
2
@k-dogg9086 this guy doesn't have a point. A cashier can legally detain you if they witness a crime. Anyone can if they want. The teens were disturbing the peace on his bus so he stopped. They were making threats of physical violence and he intervened. He called the police and they wanted to flee the scene. He didn't even technically detain them he said you can't leave police are on the way and then he steps aside. Then they assaulted him. I can't understand why someone would defend these teens.. Maybe because he's also a juvenile who thinks you should just ignore all criminals if they are girls. I don't get it

No they caused a disturbance on the bus forcing driver to stop , turn off bus and call supervisor. Next police were notified and the teens attempted to flee. He simply said you cannot leave police are in the way. Their response was to assault him and at one point they are recorded kicking him in the head as he's down. Women☕

@WillCutting-ms2wy everything is on video on the bus. The disturbance that leads up to the citizen arrest ( if you can even call it that) is why he was trying to stop them from fleeing before police arrived. The teens were arrested and face juvenile court. The driver had no charges currently. There's more going on here than this crap journalism is showing

@WillCutting-ms2wy lol you the type to be like "my baby never hurt no one" " Disturbing the Peace in San Diego. California's disorderly conduct law prohibits various disruptive and potentially dangerous actions. Penal Code 415 PC defines the crime of disorderly conduct to include any of the following behaviors: Unlawfully righting or challenging another person to fight in public."
1
@WillCutting-ms2wy A person is guilty of creating a public disturbance when, with intent to cause inconvenience, annoyance or alarm, or recklessly creating a risk thereof, he (1) engages in fighting or in violent, tumultuous or threatening behavior; or (2) annoys or interferes with another person by offensive conduct; or (3) makes unreasonable noise
1
@WillCutting-ms2wy before you delete your comment Imma quote you " causing a disturbance isn't illegal " Yes it is. It's called disturbing the peace and it's an infraction.
1
@WillCutting-ms2wy there's a video camera on the bus lol.🤦 there is another video of the disturbance which causes him to stop It's a juvenile case also so public doesn't always get all the info. You're the one who's saying the girl kicking the senior citizen in the head is innocent. Lmfao ok ... You giving the vibes of " my baby never hurt no one he a good boy"
1
@WillCutting-ms2wy anyone can legally perform a citizen arrest if they want as long as they literally witness a crime.
1
@WillCutting-ms2wy if you pay close attention he blocks them saying the police are on the way. then he steps aside and then the girl shoulders him. Technically he didn't even perform a citizen arrest. They just assaulted a 64 year old man and they are 14.
1
@WillCutting-ms2wy it's obvious who the victim is. It's not the girls kicking the senior citizen in the head
1
@WillCutting-ms2wy the bus is all teenagers . That's why everyone's face is blurred except the driver. Yes I'm inclined to side with police, the courts and a 64 year old adult over two 14 year olds. You're assuming police, the courts and a senior citizen bus driver are all wrong and it's the 14 year olds who are the victim. You said he performed a citizen arrest right? Or you're implying he detained the girls yes? But he doesn't ever detain them. He is recorded the entire time, he stepped in to intervene on what appears to be a fight about to break out.(btw that isn't in this video but it is recorded )That's what he described as the infraction of disturbing the peace. Then he tells them they can't leave because the police are on the way . To which they responded with violence. Less than 5 seconds later he steps aside, so technically he didn't detain them. As she is leaving the bus she pushed her shoulder into him and he pushed her back. Next the other teen tackles him to the ground and then the shoulder girl is recorded kicking him . IN THE FACE A security guard did intervene and there are minimum a dozen witnesses who all seem to say the same thing. " he was just trying to do his job" . Not one witness says the driver did anything wrong, they all say the girls are too blame You do realize there are other channels and other news outlets that cover this better right? It seems like you got all information from this one video, but there's actually much more info. You didn't even know disturbing the peace was a crime 20 minutes ago. Sheesshhhh
1
@WillCutting-ms2wy I guarantee you're not older than 25 . The fact the driver should or shouldn't have intervened is completely irrelevant. The girls assaulted him because they were trying to flee the scene. They all were arrested and the driver had no charges ( currently) . So ya I'm right and you're WRONG lol
1
@WillCutting-ms2wy I love the fact you have to say heinous crime. They both committed a crime, the level of severity is completely irrelevant.😂🤦 I'd say kicking a senior citizen in the face is a heinous crime kid... but they are girls so it's not so serious right. Pffff what a joke
1
@WillCutting-ms2wy intellectually honest isn't a thing. You're either honest or not. LIKE WTF DOES THAT EVEN MEAN😂 The point is they were disturbing the peace and he intervened . Nothing is wrong with that The girls you defend are recorded kicking a SENIOR CITIZEN IN THE FACE BUDDY . I'm beginning to think you're also 14. Why would he want to hold them on the bus for no reason? Why would he call the police if they did nothing wrong? Why would he stop the bus , turn it off and call his supervisor if there was no disturbance? I can't even comprehend this level of immaturity You CLEARLY are not the intellectual here. THE GIRLS ARE ALL ARRESTED.. LMFAO 😂😂😂😂😂 You said it yourself anyone can perform a citizen arrest if they witness a crime. He was able to prove they committed a crime with the video and audio from the bus recording. Nothing else to say here. You are defending girls just because they are girls you are literally giving them the benefit of the doubt because they are female even after you witness them kick a 64 year old in the head. 😮💨 I'm done with this
1
@WillCutting-ms2wy you still out here defending criminal actions because they are girls ...such juvenile simp mindset. Read this... " A mother of one of the students provided a separate statement to CBS 8 on behalf of the girl which read in part, "Sorry for the actions I was involved in and the pain and turmoil I caused to everyone involved " That is admitting guilt lol. You don't have a logical defense for assault and disturbing peace. Basically all you say is the driver should have minded his own business. Lmfao 🤣 🤣 🤣 That's not a defense for the teens 🤦🤦🤦. He was completely within his rights to detain them under us law regardless of your feelings. You and your subconscious mindset think because they are girls they should be free to do what they please I guess. No not on his bus. You're ruled by emotions and not logic on this one buddy. It shows what kind of person you are when you defend criminal actions only because they are girls. 🤣 it's pathetic. Gender is irrelevant to crime.
1
@WillCutting-ms2wy Lmfao 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 judiciary is the system of courts that interprets, defends, and applies the law in the name of the state. You're really a intellectual 👍 From a purely legal standpoint, the cashier could technically physically stop a shoplifter. At least in the US citizens have the right to stop or detain another person for a crime they witness. Again he witnessed a crime. Give it up already you make zero sense and you're ruled by emotion not law or logic. It's kinda sad how you think we should just let teens/ girls do whatever just cuz . The bus route is all teens
1
@WillCutting-ms2wy it's not my word. It's the reports. It's obvious what's happening. I just quoted the girls apology lol
1
@WillCutting-ms2wy legally the law says if you witness a crime you can detain someone if you want I can keep saying this lol. He technically didn't even detain them , standing in front of someone and then stepping aside isn't a citizen arrest. The drivers not arrested or even charged but the kids all are. You really don't have much faith in the law I guess. We are never going to get the exact details because it's a juvenile case. It seems like he's intervening in a fight but IDK for certain. You keep giving all these hypothetical situations but in reality we can see everything that happened and he didn't do anything wrong. IDK why you want to paint him in a bad light when he was assaulted and the teens even released a public apology.
1
@WillCutting-ms2wy literally ever single jewelery store would lock you in the store. A bank will have security detain you. My local pawn shop has locked people in and held them at gunpoint. There's a thousand gas station clerks who have done this. I've seen people at the Chinese buffet try to run out on a Bill and they all jumped in front of their car and didn't let them leave. Seems to me you are thinking of like Walmart where they won't do anything because to be stealing you have to actually go outside the store and they don't want employees to get involved. But there's plenty of examples of citizens detaining people for committing a crime. End of the day the law authorizes a private person to use reasonable physical force when and to the extent he reasonably believes it is necessary to make an arrest of someone he reasonably believes has committed an offense and who has in fact committed the offense. I wouldn't say what the driver did is unreasonable and the law agrees. He only STEPS in front of them for less than 1 minute because they are trying to flee the scene. He never put his hands on them until they assaulted him first. I really just can't understand why you're trying to blame the driver so much. It's clear who broke the law here and our opinions are completely irrelevant. The police and the courts have already decided. the girl issued a public apology yet you're still advocating for their innocence. Imo at this point I think you're just not able to reconsider your position because you don't want to be wrong. If anyone was detained here is the girls who tackle the driver and are literally holding him down and kicking him until a security guard comes over. That's detaining a person .It's really crazy to me that you'd defend this behavior. I genuinely want to know your age because I just can't believe you're a adult
1
If you witness a crime you can do a citizen arrest. Because they are juvenile and the journalist is incompetent no one understands this video
1
There was. The driver had to stop and call the supervisor. Then called police, at that point they were trying to flee the scene. You're defending people who kick a old man in the head as he's down lol
1
@chillinbig4206 apparently they were disturbing the peace. If a bus driver had to stop and turn off bus what do you think is going on? You think he wants to hold them when there's literally a full bus of people? The girl kicked him in the head while he was down. That's all I needed to see
1
@ms.moguns6074 "my baby never hurt no one , he a good boy"
1
They were attempting to flee the scene when police were called on them. They literally kicked him in the head when he was down. Good luck with that lawsuit Karen
1
He simply said you're not allowed to leave because police were on the way. They caused the altercation to begin with. The driver had to stop, turn off bus and call supervisor. Then police were notified and the teens attempted to flee. You giving off "my baby never hurt no one" vibes . She was literally kicking him in the head as he's down. If that is how you raised your daughter you deserve a beating
