Let's read the 2nd amendment " A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed " A well regulated Militia, BEING NECESSARY to the security of a free State,... A well regulated militia is necessary to the security of USA? Where is this well regulated militia? Interesting because a militia as intended when this was written 200+ years ago doesn't exist and isn't necessary anymore. Again this was written 200+ years ago, since then we've developed the most advanced wealthiest most sophisticated military on earth. A hypothetical militia that doesn't exist isn't necessary for protecting USA's security interest anymore. Infact all the guns are making it less secure and you can't deny it when the leading cause of death for age 1-18 is literally a gun. There's no debate anymore that gun violence is a threat to average life. This has the opposite effect the founding fathers intended imo.
