  1. The crux of the case lies whether or not the body was staged. I think the ME's testimony will either sink this case or convict Matt. Is a USB cable able to hold a 100 pound person? Was the bruising on her neck consistent with a suicide or manual strangulation.

  3.  @haikubandit6997  That would lead into circumstantial evidence. The friend noticing bruising on her arm etc. So if there's a hint of possessive behavior on the behalf of Matt, then the jury will probably vote to convict.
