Comments by "John" (@John-kv7jo) on "Ben Crump joins Court TV to Discuss No-knock Warrants" video.
The clown Crump fails to understand that there is a time and place for no knock warrants. When police are restricted to knock and announce warrants, it gives time for criminals to ambush police.

There was no mistake in this case. The shooting was justified. Amir was a fool who went for his gun when surrounded by SWAT. Suicide by cop.

Crump is a clown who doesn't tell the whole story.

No officer is going to look at the way he's holding the gun. When an officer sees a gun in hand, that is a threat and they are trained to neutralize any threats.

There is a time and place for no knock warrants. In this case the officer was justified in shooting Amir.

@JS-csnjjip We're dealing with split second decisions here. When an officer sees a suspect with a weapon, they are trained to neutralize that threat. Amir was neutralized.
1
@JS-csnjjip Remember police don't wait till they are fired upon to return fire.
1
@JS-csnjjip It doesn't matter if the gun was pointed at the ground or at officers. When an officer sees a gun in hand, that is a threat and must be neutralized. Here you contradict yourself. You state that it happened so fast. Remember officers have to make split second decisions, so an officer is not going to worry if the gun is pointed at the ground or at officers. They see a gun in hand as a threat and must neutralize that threat. Remember any reasonable officer would have shot given the same circumstances.
1
@JS-csnjjip No most cops would have shot in given the same circumstance. It's easy to judge from the comfort of our armchairs but in reality it's a decision in a heartbeat and so the shooting is justified.

More likely he was lying in wait to ambush the police with armor piercing rounds in his handgun.

@rachelsill79 No the only one who is disingenuous is you. Stop defending gun loving thugs like Amir.
1
They want the money. They probably didn't care about Amir when he was alive. Amir is more profitable to them dead.

No knock warrants are necessary in some cases. Remember the Houston officer that died while serving a knock and announce warrant?
1
Because Amir was a fool who went for his gun surrounded by SWAT.
1
@kathrynbillinghurst188 I wouldn't have gone for a gun when surrounded by SWAT officers that's for sure. Perhaps Amir wanted to commit suicide by cop.
1
@kathrynbillinghurst188 You'd be scared but you wouldn't reach for a gun, especially when officers announced their presence and have guns drawn.
1
Remember the Houston officer that was shot and killed when serving a knock and announce warrant? This shows why in some cases no knock warrants are necessary.
1
@GRIGGINS1 They hit three places at the same time. Any person/s in those places are considered suspects.
1
@GRIGGINS1 The no knock warrant allows officers to enter a premises so that the suspects don't have time to dispose of evidence. This warrant was in relation to a homicide and the officers wanted to gain entry so as to secure the evidence.
