  1. No Molly you don't let him drive away. Police have a court order to arrest the suspect, not allow him to drive away and then get the Marshalls to do your job. An officer is justified in using lethal force when they perceive a threat. This would be akin to a person pointing a weapon at you. You don't wait for the bullet to be fired, there is a perceived threat and deadly force is authorized.

  3.  @hotkoko111  Don't be naive. Duante was no unarmed person. He had a weapon at his disposal the minute he got back in that car. The car is now considered a weapon and where there is a perceived threat, officers are allowed to use deadly force. To make a martyr out of a common criminal.
