Court TV why don't you talk about how the state overcharged the officers to appease the mother and her family? The jury got it right. There were mitigating factors in this case. Tyre was actively and passively resisting arrest and fleeing from police. The police had the right to use hard hands to get the suspect to comply. It is sad that someone so young lost his life but if there's one lesson we can learn from this tragedy, it is comply and you will not die. If you feel that the police have treated you badly, the place to fight injustice is in the courtroom not on the road and not against the police.

A traffic stop never ends in a death sentence. It is only when you continue to resist arrest and flee that police will chase and beat you till you comply. Every young black male should learn this lesson: Comply and you will not die!

@ParisFrost-x2x Running away and resisting arrest is no excuse. Remember comply and you will not die. Tyre continued to resist actively and passively throughout the entire ordeal. The fact that he continued to resist arrest and flee is a mitigating factor. Not everything is about race.

@ The mitigating factors were Tyre resisting arrest and fleeing from the police. Tyre high as a kite. Tyre being a thief. The trial did not include the officer that used the most excessive force. The three officers that were on trial really did nothing wrong but followed police protocol. Their use of force is allowed to escalate when a suspect refuses to comply.

@CynthiaLanders1 Did you watch the trial? He was able to fight off four officers and pepper spray had no effect on him. He also had stolen credit cards in his car but the DA chose not to disclose this so as to portray Tyre in the best light possible.
