@partypoet2012 You have no answer for the different Moon-phases. You will not tell me that the Moon is flat, or do you? When the German battleship Scharnhorst made it's first hit with the 3rd salvo on the British aircraft-carrier Glorious on 8th of June, 1940, Scharhorst hit from a distance of 24 KMs or more. Scharnhorst's Gunners had shot behind the horizon.

@caav56 the Russians were not even with rovers on the moon, Luna was a lie. Till our decade there is no evidence of the ability of soft-rocket-landing. Bill Kaysing stated that the Saturn V ran with B1-engines and not with F1-engines due to the same problems as the Atlas-project. But the B1-engines could not run the Saturn V fully loaded, so they fueled only for earth orbit during the entire Apollo-mission-programme.

@caav56 yes of course. https://youtu.be/bvim4rsNHkQ Delta Clipper had often problems with melting landing legs, the rest means our current decade. On earth more thrust is needed than on the moon. But we do know nothing about the landing in a vacuum. On Mars NASA used very big parashutes. And ESA was not really able to synchronize a sonde with a comet with nearly no gravity.
