@evilspatula6450 Would you do something that will not benefit you but will benefit future generations? If people do that, then a society flourishes. I've never heard the proverb before but I think I've figured it out.

@garygruvman8111 Now that things are getting desperate, I've noticed more climate activists are mentioning nuclear a bit more often. As we've see with these disasters, when things go wrong they go badly wrong, so we need to be very careful and judicious about where we can put nuclear plants, but each technology has its + and - points mainly depending on location, so we shouldn't leave out any option that can help deliver a solution.

I wouldn't say "all". Definitely a big player, but there are other serious emitters out there and they also need to pull their weight to address this crisis.

yeah that's what i've been thinking too recently. while there is still a small hope, basically i think the most likely outcome is that we're done for.
