  2. Shinkai Yanami wrote a song about it. I made my own video based on it https://youtu.be/ho6rPHKcX0k (NB Japanese with English subs). In that version, it ends with a twist. The piper had started the plague using his rat mind-control in order to extort money from the town. Has anyone heard of that before?

  3. well i've diversified ... i only used to eat ham but now i eat salami too. actually ... from time to time people have offered me strange foods to try like blueberries and turkey and quinoa and gemfish and new apple varieties but they all taste awful. i know some people who love to try new foods and varieties but they're in the minority. most only eat what they've gotten used to growing up.

  6. a guy called bax said he started deciphering it and made a youtube video showing the limited progress he made. he identified some astronomical and botanical names from captions on the illustrations and thus started identifying phonemes associated with some of the glyphs. unfortunately he died soon after and afaik no one's taken his work further.
