Saheli I do not understand it either. There is a deep yet FALSE culture of hate of everything Cuban and especially anything relating to the Revolution in the USA. I had Cuban neighbors as a child, and they told us what was really going on, between Fulgencio Batista and the US government, that Cubanos we’re losing everything to the Yanqui big money and the mafia gamblers that were taking over the island. I learned why it is correct to see Fidel, Raul, and the truly bloodthirsty Che as the real heroes of Cuba. Che seemed to free or help inspire freedom in some South American countries as well. But of course a big powerful country like USA can NEVER be in the wrong, so we are supposed to hate Cuba. Also Iran, Iraq, etc. It relates to the concept that America is always perfect, always right, always working for other countries’ freedoms and independence. Of course, that’s total lies. Since we will not admit we are killers and liars and will do any evil thing so some can make lots of money while others are hungry and homeless, we as a country are supposed to hate Cuba and everything Cuban.
