  21. Flu shots in US now are “specialized” by presumed age-related need of the recipient! Old farts like me (65 or so & up) are steered to a new amended formulation with “something” added to stimulate immune response to a higher level -since obviously (!) old farts like me just don’t respond well enough to a regular flu vaccine. I got the flu shot for”people age 30 to 55” tho I’m 73 because I told my doctor I’m not about to try anything “new”!!!

  22. Painkillers & cough: once I ruptured my diaphragm from coughing and was put on pain killers for that pain as well as Rx for cough. An earlier time, I coughed so hard I broke & displaced a rib, which healed crooked over time. I needed painkillers then, for sure.

  26. Big change in Louisiana USA. All at once the JJJ vacc is available everywhere! Community centers, vacc centers in dr ofc, etc. I couldn’t get sched for others but could have choice of place & time last weekend. One jab only; 2 wks until efficacy. Being well run, all of a sudden—no need to supercool the JJJ vacs. One day or less from appt to jab. People previously doing Moderna & Pfizer were not logistical good choices. No extra staff, space, equipment to log in the data — and pressure to use all of a vial before it spoilt when there were cancellations. A disaster response to a disaster disease. Doomed to fail. Much better now!

  45. At the 5-6 minute point — in New Orleans LA, in early first outbreak, that is exactly what happened. Send people home while ill, but usually left home to die from pneumonia or other CoV-2 complications. Thankfully, state now aggressively treats with monoclonal antibodies with excellent results.
