  5. Paul Rolle Glad to hear the good news. We had basically free state medical care in Louisiana until Gov Bobby Jindal took it away. He claims to be on the side of for-profit businesses. People now are going without health care because of him. From the time of Gov Huey Long, all in Louisiana had the right to health care at any of the Charity Hospitals network throughout the state. Best trained nurses in the state came from Charity New Orleans—they had seen everything and done darn near everything, in a pinch, short of brain surgery! The hospital was flooded and not renovated about 16 years ago in Hurricane Katrina.
