  1. In the suburban New Orleans communities, Metairie and other areas, some By Appointment 24 hr vaccine drives have been held. I’m not sure about turnout, but the 24 hr scheduling is wonderful for shift workers. A year ago, Mardi Gras was the beginning of our experience with CoV-2, and so many elderly died! The city has arranged free or low cost rides to vacc sites for infirm, elderly & disabled in the city itself. Weather is mild. Restrictions are somewhat eased in the last week. Fingers crossed. Slow & steady wins the race.....
