  1. You will recall the greater New Orleans area rivaled NYC in Feb-Mar 2020’s outbreaks, due to Mardi Gras celebrations. For 2021, all but one locality in & around New Orleans have banned Mardi Gras parades & most Krewes have cancelled their public or private balls. The exception is Jefferson Parish — political leaders said they want to make money by tourism and mostly by local sales related to parades. Money is more important than safety & health to their economy. Maybe the Krewes of the parades will make the responsible decision to cancel their Jefferson Parish outings. Mardi Gras day is Feb 16, 2021; parades usually start two weeks prior.

  2. I am 71; I got my second vaccination against MMR (measles mumps rubella) 12/23. THANK YOU for the report citing a history of this vacc in connection with milder or no symptoms in Covid-19 positive persons. 🤞🏻it’s still true for the latest variants. Still taking all precautions, of course.
