It looks at times that the US ‘s advances in trade is solely limited to attempts to curtail other nations’ trading options, slapping its “sanctions” here, there, & everywhere, since the US has few American made goods to trade. The US is an import nation, by the choice of its own manufacturers and corporations and their near-maniacal search for greatest sales profits thru outsourcing to the maximum extent possible. And the rich get richer while the poor get poorer.

I know about FDR; Biden is like flypaper for jokes since he ran as the “anybody would do” candidate—the Dem platform being “Biden isn’t Trump.” And he mocked Trump for being clumsy. Imho, Dems are a dumpster fire, w/lots of burning tires for thick smoke.....

One needs OPTIONS in commerce as well as in one’s personal life. That ships would continue to join the pile-up at this tiny passage is beyond ridiculous. The constant threat of regional hostilities alone require a second route. The same is true for the pirate-plagued sea routes in the Indian and adjacent oceans. US and other military stations in Diego Garcia are of little to no use in protection against modern pirates.

@bobkozalov8821 Thanks for your opinion. As for Biden, I suspect the soles of his shoes were slippery. It looked like that kind of a trip.
