  2. God please help the peoples of the two Ukraines! This sounds horrible! Alexander should write a book on this, when he has time. I’m more into novels than histories; this sounds like an opium smoker describing ((with embellishments)) the story line of the old classic novel, “The Prisoner of Zenda”!!! It also points out the tactical benefit of a single, long term ruler over comparatively brief rules by “politicians” indebted to commercial interests and competing partisan manoeuvers. At least in this instance, oligarchy appears to be a great asset to those living in the Donbass. And to add spice to the mix, be sure to include the Ukraine neo-Nazi “national guard” troops, reportedly terrorizing Russian Orthodox residents in the east provinces.
