Both of those statements scream that you don't care that it is wasteful and you don't care about any possible infringement on our rights or well being. Hence why I brought up my question. Why would abolition be a good idea? Because you don't throw good money after bad. Nor was the cost justified in the first place. So the people that are the most likely to care how powerful or effective the TSA is, are somehow not going to know or bother looking it up, and instead they will just give up? That isn't a logical assumption.

Indefinite detention conflicts with the right to "a speedy and public trial" and it is a "cruel and unusual punishment". Depending on whether a warrant was properly issued, it could also violate the 4th Amendment.
