@gpinkard Individuals are what make the majority. If the majority are from a bad culture with common disrespect and theft problems, then you very much will be rewarded with a failing business.

You could have this in the USA, except that everything would have to come from vending machines so people couldn't steal extra. Although this assumes a capsule hotel would be popular and a viable business when most Americans are used to having their own rooms. You'd also have a noise problem for the same reason, and because of fat people with sleep apnea and snoring. I think it would have to start out as only one floor of a hotel and a cheap alternative to the normal room. If it was popular and viable they could expand it in the future. From a 2016 article I found, most hotels are dropping amenities like pools, smoking rooms, room service, and spas. Although gyms were increasing in popularity. What better way to bring back a bunch of amenities than to lower costs with capsules?

@TH-fw1zb Yeah, that's why I said almost everything has to come from a vending machine. You can still give freebies if you have the right technology that recognize which keycard has been used at which machine per day.

The concept of a sleep pod and coffee seem to be in conflict. They seem fun enough to try out though.

@Pgcito Sleeping pods is literally in the title of this video.

That is pretty good even for capsule hotels.

Seems an amazing price with so many extras included. Although I'd need more than a bit of rice and an egg to call it a meal.

You need to order the hot items one at a time. To easy for one thing to get cold like the fries, while you eat something else. And I don't understand an amusement park that doesn't have any roller coasters and thrill rides! Soredewa nai Also please be careful eating too much sweets and carbs. Even skinny people can get diabetes.

@tgshark1 It's cool for those that would use it all. For people that don't drink alcohol or if they don't like eating one raw egg on rice, they are paying for stuff they don't use. Turn that rice into fried rice with scrambled egg and a few bits of chicken breast, and I would have that every day of the week.

He is already on a diabetes speed run.

I am getting concerned for your health with how much sweets and carbohydrates you eat.

There are no real beds, and overnight trains in Japan are notoriously bad with loud announcements that wake you up.
3
I would love to try one of those hotels one day.

@famf6234 Separate rooms, how romantic. 🤣

Wall is going through existential crisis. "WHY why why why"

Makes me wonder how long until we see real robots that look like real humans and can move around.
2
Could you not invite some of the passengers in the cheap seats to come try out the best Suite? It could help with being lonely, if not the price of the ticket.
2
I'm also worried about plastic bowls with hot food. I don't think it is healthy.
2
That is not enough time to sleep. Plus the announcements would keep waking me up, even with ear plugs in. :(
2
Is that considered cheap or expensive for ocean travel?
2
Those sandwiches are all bread! Where is the meat and proper toppings?
2
If they aren't alcohol, what are they made out of? Just a sugary drink like pumpkin spice?
2
@Zeppelee Oh okay, nice.
2
@tiffanieqaisar7487 Uh, okay?

@herlastvoyage I think he is talking about the "you will own nothing and be happy" "eat the bugs" and "you will live permanently out of a small capsule room". All of which are public goals of globalist scum that will force it on all of us average people, using green propaganda and climate fearmongering to get support. As it is now, I would agree the business as shown in the video is a great capitalist option for travelers. Being forced to stay there with no other options and far worse conditions anywhere outside of Japan, is probably more what Deacon is thinking.

We'd have to have everything come from vending machines to keep people from stealing extra.

That burger is doubtfully up to even McDonald standards. Where is the lettuce, pickle, and onions?

My local store sells plastic bottles of Coke for $2.44, which is 351 Yen. And that's not even with real sugar, it's the corn syrup stuff. Or you can buy two for $4.08 with a membership card. What a rip off! Coke isn't good for you anyways.

@georgetsokanis3542 We need to compare apples with apples. A full room at a hotel is a whole different concept from a tiny capsule. Just think how many capsules a modern hotel in the USA could fit if they got rid of most of the huge rooms? We don't really have those kinds of hotels in the USA, so the most comparable thing would be hostels, although I couldn't find many cheap ones either. I remember hearing stories of people that went to town (aka destroyed) their own hotel room just for fun. As others have said, we don't have the same culture and high trust society, and I think it may have cost us many pleasant experiences that would never have occurred to us if it wasn't pushed in our faces from videos like this.

I have to reject that corned beef sandwich, they barely gave you any protein!

This is making me hungry. :)

I would consider that wasteful and bad form. Naruto certainly wouldn't leave the soup.

My best memories of travelling are of when I was alone. I didn't have my brother there to ruin filling out the form declaring what address we were staying at, so we both get stopped by the immigration workers and look stupid. And that was just the start of the problems. Although I admit I don't have to travel all the time like the creator of this channel.
