If only I had a dime for every comment that went into an emotional tirade instead of dealing with the points in the video in a logical and thoughtful way. 1. "We have the most people in prison." This is a valid criticism and it's ironic (or hypocritical) considering we are supposed to be the "land of the free". 2. "We are the most obese" (second only to mexico now). This is also a valid criticism and I think it's a very large problem (pun intended) that should be dealt with on a personal level, not by trying to force society to change. (People have to want change for real change to happen.) 3. "Leading nation is cheese production". There is nothing wrong with that, lay off my cheese! But seriously, how many jobs are left in the country, and we are supposed to cut jobs and not supply the demand for cheese? 4. "90 guns per 100 persons". That is disappointing... I was hoping it would be a lot higher. Nothing wrong with gun freedoms and responsible ownership. 4.5 "Sorry Yemen" Hooray for unconstitutional undeclared wars! 5. "89 percent of the worlds porn." I guess it depends what you think about porn if this is bad or not. 6. "We consume 80% of the worlds pain killers." While not necessarily bad in and of itself, I think this could be an indicator of serious societal problems. 7. "The most # of teen pregnancies." A serious problem that I would blame on falling societal standards and values, not to mention horrible parenting. 8. "# 1 in credit card debt" This is another valid criticism. People fail in personal responsibility and don't live within their means, and society is doing nothing about the criminal elite controlling the federal reserve (and government) that are causing inflation. They can print as much money as they want and the value of the money you already have keeps dropping. 9. "The most deaths by lawnmower." This could just mean we have more lawnmowers and lawns than anywhere else, but you have to admit that the deaths are not something to be proud of. 10. (I thought I'd add one of my own creation.) "The most veteran suicides per day" I didn't find info to conclude that we have the highest with a quick google search, but I still wanted to bring up this horrible and under-reported problem. http://www.cnn.com/2013/09/21/us/22-veteran-suicides-a-day/
