FlibbidyFleu "are Americans as well" Technically, and only in a geographical sense yes, but as our country is the ONLY one that is specifically called America, it makes sense that the people from the USA are commonly known as "Americans". If someone asks where you are from and you answer "America", it would not be reasonable to immediately ask you to specify "North, South, or Central America".

  3. It is reasonable to expect people to adapt to the native language no matter if it is the USA, Japan, or anywhere else. If anything, you are admiring the tendency of Asian culture to avoid conflict. It does not mean that they wouldn't prefer that you learned a bit of Japanese. Oh, and English has been the official language for the USA since 1795. And as someone else rightly pointed out, English has become an international language, and there are many schools that teach English in Asia. So it isn't a fair comparison of the communication barrier and the resulting frustrations when considering the two different locations.

  4. the noise There is no right to travel the world. Otherwise pilots and airlines would have to be your slave and work for free. You have the right to go where you are allowed to go and where your money can purchase your transport in a free trade.
