  7. The G36 needs TNT based ammo and not gun powder based ammo. The false ammo causes the heat problem, but some idiots in the Bundewehr procurement department wanted to save money and ordered gun powder based ammo wich was also listed in a compatibility list for NATO reasons.

The US did not have such forensic asylums as they are mainly private financed, but Germany has them as public institutions and the mental ill are usually there. The German courts usually have psychological experts under contract which decide between sanity vs insanity of the offender.

Alose the main reason for the overhating was the use of false and cheaper ammunition wich caused the overheating. HK said the G36 should be not be used with gunpowder based ammo, but with TNT based ammo wich produces much less heat.
