This wweakness was also observed during the Gulf wars by the western troops at Iragi Russian tanks. Western tank and anti tank forces are trained to aim at the turret, and modern projectiles can also overcome reactive armor. Before the reactive armor explodes, the projectile still has passed the barrier.
