  1. But the larger problem is, that you did not told us how a 9-speed gearbox is to drive. Did the gears always switch up and down or are the additional gears intended for high speed driving in Germany.

  2. The new S63 (4.0 V8 Biturbo) also has 9 gears. The S65 is actually under revision and out of production as my dealer told me, so it is not clear if the S65 will stick to the 7 speed gearbox for fuel economy regulations. My S65 runs out of leasing, so i have to buy the car or replace it with a 9 speed S63 as the S65 is actually not on sale. I am absolutely satisfied with the 7 speed (except the shifting speed), so it would be interesting to know how the 9 speed handles the gears.
