  1. The 911 has a flat 6 engine which is by design extreme durable. In the most cases the loss of power is just caused by soiling. Mostly the air-intake-sensor (MAF) is congested with oil and dust. This causes a false measurement of air intake and therefore lower injection of fuel = power loss. The ECU calculates the amount of injected fuel by MAF and temperature data - if one of this informations is false/low you loose power. This could also cause black spark plugs and deposits at the valves. In most cases a chemical and manual cleaning can fix this performance issues.
