  1. Aldi offers mainly their own brands, Lidl offers a own brand and the traditional brand. In some cases i prefer the original brand and be willing to pay the higher price. Lidl offers me this choice, so i also prefer to shop at Lidl.

The kitchen size in Germany usualy depends on the location of the house. Just like in the USA, real estates in urban areas is more expensive than in the country side or in the suburbs, and the size of the kitchen is correspondingly there. For example, no one in NYC has a big kitchen, unless he's a multimillionaire. The more rural or suburb the region in Germany the larger are the kitchens.

The German pronouncing of Colgate is Col-ga-te instead of the english col-gate.It is not clears if the name Colagte (William Colgate) refers to a form of a gate or not, so the gate is in this case not pronaunced as gate. I the case of Watergate it is clear, so Watergate is eg pronaunced in German like English.

  10. I met Enzo Ferrari in a Hospital as i was around 12 yo. I shared a hospital room with his grandson in a eye clinic. Even his family was surprised and excited that he had flown in specially. Unfortunately, I didn't understand a word because I don't speak Italian but he also left a hughe impression.
