  1. The car at the fuel station is a VW Karmann*-Ghia (1955–1974, 1,2–1,6l and under 1t) also nicknamed as the 911 for the secretary. In the 1950s, its performance was still acceptable, but in the 1960s or even 1970s, the car was underpowered for its price. *Karman factory in Osnabrück wich has build many cars for VW and Porsche, mostly cars with lower production numbers and cabriolets. Karman had a car productin line, but the line was not running at the speed like those at the other car manufactoring plants, so they had more time for individual fittings and smaller production number cars.

  2. The black house is probably an art object, because painting a house that black is incredibly expensive. This super-black paint (almost 100% light absorption) has astronomical prices. The same goes for super-white paint.

  3. There are not only flower auctions, also fruits and vegetables are auctioned this way in some wholesale. The buyer make a inspection of the goods before and the bid process is very quickly, they knew wich positions they want and how much they could/will pay. Normally the auction is backwards, which means the prices go down, If you wait too long you will get nothing.
