  1. A friend of mine was with the motorway police near the Dutch border, he also had a shootout with drug smugglers there in his first 6 weeks. Closer to the border, criminals risk more in the hope of making it across the open border. In the meantime, the police officers from the respective countries are also allowed to be active on the other side of the border until the local police have taken over.

  2. The recording is only for commercial freight trucks mandatory. Also not not everyone knew this recording, they are only controlled by the police. The purpose of the recording is road safety, to secure that the driver adheres to the statutory rest periods.
