Initially it was planned to only install a V8 in the W220, so the engine compartment was too small for the M120. The M120 engine was then shrunk (shorter stroke) to an M137, but with a loss of performance. The M137 engine was then replaced in the same model series by the more powerful M275 E55AL turbo engine variant with 500 hp wich was developed by AMG. The M275 E55AL is therefore a downsized M275 E60AL from the AMG S65.

  31.  @sesharimtusar1428  The Benz is original, but i guess the mechanical ignition distribution is replaced by a new one. The electrical are much better and cheaper. My 280SE from that time performs the same - after a engine overhaul.

  32.  @sesharimtusar1428  I knew, but i think the tire rims are not legally registrated ;-), as Mercedes had only steel rims with hubcaps at that time - other rims would need a individual and expensive registration. As long as the cars FIN numbers and engine numbers match, there is no big problem to get the H license plates.

  41. Its a V12 who has the power even at low RPM, so you don´t have to spin up the engine for power. You can push the throttle at any RPM and the car pushes ahead - if you once get used to this V12 power, you don´t want to miss it any more.

  44. I would get a headache by thsi exhaust noise. The V12 has a wonderfull engine noise and does not need such crap exhaust.
