Ethanol combusts with much more heat - so turbo charger would not be pleased with fuel that contains Ethanol, also sport cars who have heat problems.

The Tesla Roadster is just a cheap PR-trick to distract from serious problems at Tesla. The company is still not producing any profit and burning money. The production output is far behind the timing and under normal conditions the company is on the brink of bankruptcy. But as long as people deposit money for a new Tesla, the ponzi scheme can go on. Actually Bloomberg calculated that Tesla will run next August out of money.

The big general problem are the batteries as they are within 3 years weak by normal use and a new set costs nearly as much as a completely new car. Maybe you have also some experiences with Lion/Lipo batteries in Smartphones or Notebooks - same effect with Tesla cars - average 1000 cycles than completely death. Actually the few concerning cars are mostly handled by Tesla with obligingness, but that's no durable solution as they again burn huge amounts of money with this.

Can you please check this out: What extends the range if you are short on gas and didn't knew when the next gas station comes: A) letting run the car in a high gear without pushing the throttle if possible B) taking the gear off/neutral and let the car run if possible A) has a engine braking and B) needs min. fuel to keep the engine run at low RPM, but the rolling is without engine braking, so the rolling stretch is longer
