Nonsense, the seller will ship the right part afterwards and because of freight costs the false part has maybe not to be returned.

@Samcrac Aluminium and Steel corrode to a a new metal alloy - no chance to seperate it https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Galvanic_corrosion

@zakofrx I was once driving with a woman in her Toyota. It suddenly made bang and the engine turned of. The car 120k mi on the clock and i saked her if she has ever repalced the timing belt - she asked: what is a timing belt. After beeing towed to a garage, a techican confirmed my suspicion. She asked what to do and i told her that she can only push the car over a cliff and say good buy.

The brake disk price of $7,000 is for ceramic brake disks wich cost aprox. $3,500 each, but the ceramic brake pads have been a expensive option on the RS7, they also last min 3x times longer than the regular brake pads. They are also red, but easy to identify as Audi prints in large letters ceramic on them.

Holy sh_it - the only thing left at that rims is gold.

As a reward, the neighbor should get the car for a weekend.

It needs other tires for the drag strip, and they are not cheap.

The original solenoids have been the right way, spoiling the whole repair job with crap spareparts would be very annoying and a waste of time.

I you paid for the forklift and got a bill, the company is responsible for any damage caused by their work.

Every electronic part with informations about the VIN is restricted to official dealers to prevent stolen cars from being white washed. You can only go forward with the car and project with assistance from a certified dealer. Thats not also a Aston Martin thing, also VW is doing so, but they will not charge such high fees.
1
@SuperJlonergan The AM dealer's price even sounds fraudulent. The dealer can only charge an hourly rate and flashing the chip and board won't take a week. I would ask the Aston Martin factory whether they think the price is OK.

Looks like some one stole the driver seat and replaced it with a very old worn one. The condition of the seat does to fit to the milage on the odo.

I think the fresh water is condensation that was caused by the evaporation of the salt water. It then condensed on the inside of the windows and then ran back into the interior.

No insects? Everytime i spay outside i have insects spoling the coat.

The Bugatti has 4 cylinder more and is a W16. But you can get 700-800 hp from the W12 engine, but the problem is the space in the engine compartment as the mighty W12 fills it still well.

That car also needs a stretching bank to be straightened, because the frame under the door is also bent.

V8... nothings beats a V12 thats a real Lions roar: https://youtu.be/nUBGfAKzyNw?t=36 Btw, this engine has usually ca. 1.275-1300 NM (958ft·lb), but Mercedes has installed a limiter to 900 NM to prevent the drive train (differential) from being jamed - tuner just unlock this, but this reduces the typical Merc livespan and the warranty is gone. Thsi mountains of torque are also a reason why the V12 is not available as 4WD.

VAG stands for Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft - correctly it should be VWAG, but a handy abreaviation has always 3 letters. The Aktiengesellschaft in short is always AG, so the W had to be dismissed. Aktiengesellschaft or AG means joint-stock company or Incorporation (Inc.)

The head lights are also blind and need to be replaced.

I would not drive a Mustang with 200 mph, but with the RS7 it is no problem. https://youtu.be/8Qs6wlQ06wo?t=84

Check engine light? It is the seatbelt light.

The max lifespan of a Ferrari is max 50k mi.. I have never seen a running Ferrari with over 75k on the clock. The engines of the current top models only last in average max 30k mi.. They are like some famous stars, big fame and show but die a early death.

Ugly as hell, who the f... buys such a retro design catastrophe from the 1970´s.

Simillar to this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gC0HkI-tvNE

There are companies who offer to refurbish the break disks if they have still enaugh meat on. The use a CNC grinder and make them exact plane. The price is usualy $50-70 per disk + shipping fee. This is particularly recommended if the disks are still in very good condition but have become glazed due to emergency braking.

I would have checked the oil quality before up-fillig, because if the car needs a oil change, the now filled oil ist wasted.
1
Thats galvanic-corrosion (steel+aluminium). If it is once corroded, it could never be sepperated - it´s like welded togehter - even stronger than thermal welding. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Galvanic_corrosion
1
A simple head gasket change will be no rocket science. It gets onyl ugly if there are cracks in the motor block.
1
The drain bolt is there, because VW/Audi did not design the part just for this Audi R8, they design them to fit also in other cars models. VW calls this platform. Maybe the the drain bolt is used at the V10 model or Lamborghini Huracán, or they just let the option to use it in future models to not redesigning the whole part.

Not everything, VAG Group has eg a extensive anti-theft protection for expensive spare parts. These parts can only be installed if the car is connected to a computer with VAG licensed software where the service garage is officialy registered. The serial numbers are read and compared online with the VAG database. If they (eg all ECU´s) are registered as stolen (parts of a stolen vehicle), they cannot be installed/unlocked in the car and the local police station is automatically informed about this. Countless workshops have already had police visits asking about the origin of the spare part.

Replace ALL oils + filter and and fluids and the powertrain issue could be also disapear. The Turbo is usually very reliable, but if not, a Turbo overhaul is a expensive nightmare. But be aware, the Turbo is burning fuel like a booster rocket if you drive sporty.
1
It´s totaled, because only a very vew experts can weld Aluminium to withstand forces. The problem at aluminium welding is that quickly everything melts and not just the welding medium.
