  1. Every electronic part with informations about the VIN is restricted to official dealers to prevent stolen cars from being white washed. You can only go forward with the car and project with assistance from a certified dealer. Thats not also a Aston Martin thing, also VW is doing so, but they will not charge such high fees.

  2.  @SuperJlonergan  The AM dealer's price even sounds fraudulent. The dealer can only charge an hourly rate and flashing the chip and board won't take a week. I would ask the Aston Martin factory whether they think the price is OK.
