V8... nothings beats a V12 thats a real Lions roar: https://youtu.be/nUBGfAKzyNw?t=36 Btw, this engine has usually ca. 1.275-1300 NM (958ft·lb), but Mercedes has installed a limiter to 900 NM to prevent the drive train (differential) from being jamed - tuner just unlock this, but this reduces the typical Merc livespan and the warranty is gone. Thsi mountains of torque are also a reason why the V12 is not available as 4WD.
