theres a 2.0t version coming out
1
@philbosh03 I mean the 2.0t Accord exists and makes 252hp (more like 270ish because it does 0-60 pretty fast), and you can get one with a 6 speed manual too, plus its a detuned variant of the type r motor and the V6 Camry makes 305 hp and has a TRD version as well... the inclusion of the 2.0t is nice in the sonata but its not the only high hp sedan in its class
1
most 3 row CUVs are actually minivans with normal doors and less cargo space and occasional AWD
1
this makes more power but it also weighs more would be interesting to see how the two compare
1
it DRIVES better (says it in the title) also you get better value, manual on more trims, cheaper to buy, etc also roomier and still keeps the independent rear suspension
1
i can hear vtec nice and god on my parents 2005 lol
1
I don't like how Mazda tries to emulate the BMW scroll wheel but ignores that you can also use the touchscreen
1
thats better mpg than my honda fit lol
1
@DS..69 not what? Not a sports car? As I mentioned the Civic is an economy car that's been fun to drive, not a true purpose built sports car from the ground up like a Miata or Corvette...
1
they dont sell the Fiesta in North America anymore
1
Its nicer in the interior to enough to warrant a slight MPG hit
1
Awww someone is upset they can't drive a stick
1
@TheKacper2001 this Odyssey was actually designed and built in the US for the most part lol
1
Everyone complaining that this is a hybrid but im enjoying that toyota is resiting slapping on a 2.0l or sub 2.0l turbo like everyone else is
1
imagine being insecure of driving a minivan
1
@XX-166 enjoy your shitty vehicle
1
~says the guy named Sunny Singh lmao
1
They've been doing this for a long time lol. The Century, more expensive than any Lexus in the 90s, had the same steering wheel as a camry
1
Because it gets good mpgs and better for the average joe who doesn't know jack shit about turbo engines
1
@paladin3116 my dad tested the pilot and highlander and they did not have the space needed for his taste, so he went with a sienna he also hates driving positions in crossovers
1
red turn signals are soo lame
1
people who buy minivans couldn't care what this looks like on the outside
1
its on a truck frame though
1
velo n is like 2900ish afaik type r is 3100 (some have gotten less) golf r is around 3300
1
do you see how many 4runner people buy $50k TRD Pro spec models as antiquated they are, spend like $20k on mods, only to go on gravel trails (that my old civic could do with ease) to pose for the gram? not to mention the yuppie #vanlife people? the sienna would be a much better "overlander" choice for them
1
@Daniel Zhang thats literally their job to tell the facts and what not you don't become a journalist to tell people what they want to hear, you're supposed to tell it like it is
1
welcome to the world of di turbos Fwiw the engine is in a plethora of other ford products so it shouldn't be too hard to fix
1
the people who wil buy this dont care for fancy tech, that's what the defender is for, yuppies who need to burn their daddy's money for the most techy thing to look rugged on their way to Starbucks
1
Congrats thats been standard features on cars in the last 20 years
1
you would be the only american to buy one
1
because they're practical and they haul a lot in fact people of all races love/should love minivans...
1
this or the X7 m50i?
1
stow n go means they have to be thin af
1
I think Toyota limits that on purpose
1
if you want to impress people with drag racing get a model s plaid
1
@THESLlCK go buy a prius hippie This is an unbridled performance car, if you want a environmentally friendly carz dont bother watching this lol Jokes aside electric cars will be superior to gas cars on launch especially in the production sedan segment, the plaid hitd 60 in 2s flat
1
@THESLlCK can those NA cars haul 5 people? Can they be registered on the street like a Model S Plaid? Can the average Joe buy them from a dealer if they have $120k?
1
@THESLlCK the average joe is more likely to spend $120k on a car that they just can go buy from the dealer than a prepped drag racer they have to build themselves or pay someone to do so but you'd have to be fairly rich for either haha
1
@THESLlCK because thats not a factory car lolool You can dump any amount of money into anything to make something fast but that doesn't change what it leaves the factory with
1
sorry buddy this isnt a BMW
1
@RLTtizME take a look at gen 2 cts v values, they're pretty strong rn because they're a special car this is even more special and the manual ones will hold their values well. this is the end of the line for enthusiast sports sedans
1
@RLTtizME show me the markups on these? And fwiw markups are a US dealer problem, not just exclusive to one make. The smart people wait for those to subside. Id still take a Blackwing over the bullshit BMW is putting out. The Blackwing is the ultimate driving machine.
1
consider the sport touring?
1
the Honda 9AT is a ZF Unit which actually had a lot of problems before they fixed it for MY 2018 in the Pilot and the Odyssey the 10AT is their in house unit
1
@allowa5220 theres like 5 people who would buy a RWD Sonata, and 2 of them would be able to afford it new Hyundai doesnt really have a business case for one other than RWD SKIDS BROOOOOO DRIFT BROOOO also, they already have a RWD sedan you can buy with a manual trans and has LSD, it's the G70 2.0t Sport with the 6MT and its a pretty decent car, and it doesnt cost a whole lot more than the sonata either
1
sienna has awd and significantly better fuel economy
1
@velboone6041 nobody is buying a minivan for speed. The hybrid sienna gets 5-10 MPG better than anything else in that class. In fact it's on par with my Honda Civic from not too long ago. Idc about interior because its a family car and will get dirty and beaten anyways . Also xse toyotas never really good interior wise
1
I dont like the looks of this but it seems Hyundai has put enough effort in order to make this more appealing than a Tucson for me waiting on the Kia version now
1
it comes standard on every direct injection turbo car regardless of the manufacturer, but go on
1
This is a karen level crossover if you want a proper sporty hatch at this price get a GTi
