honda's clean design and simplistic engineering is what lead them to their prominence, and its great to see them return to it
10
nicer interior (type R is all red, this has more color options+leather) less seat bolstering, (apparently) softer suspension, 16 speaker ELS (its really good), HUD (probably not important but its nice to have)
4
huh why no x3M? i thought they were selling well?

@LOVE-VIBES-X-PROJECT-CARS the new integra does everything the old car did- be a slightly nicer civic. Everyone is hung up on the DC2 Type R but those are so rare. the vast marjoity of them had 100-160hp, cloth seats, and many of them with slush boxes now that there is a Type S it fulfills the upper performance echelons too. btw adjusted for inflation a DC2 Type R would have cost as much as an FL5 type R does today too

@LOVE-VIBES-X-PROJECT-CARS thats a fault of modern cars all being large heavy and disconnected. Thats not just endemic to the Integra. The integra regardless, fulfills the "nicer slightly more Premium civic but still fun to drive ish" as it always has done. The only cars that can get away with feeling like they did 20-30 years ago are 86s and Miatas because they're low volume sports cars that can sacrifice practicality and creature comforts for better driving engagement. To each their own

small sedans should be replaced by wagons and liftbacks
3
#MEJ for life. Hondas are best had in manual stop being lazy
2
its not like people look over their shoulder anymore driving their SUVs and trucks
2
@LOVE-VIBES-X-PROJECT-CARS its not an integra because you dont think its an integra, im sure the people in acura are crying and weeping as we speak
2
do urself a favor and buy the 3 pedal one
2
packaging and efficency. they're also a lot safer for non car people to drive in suboptimal configurations
2
@MonkeyPower55 with the release of the prelude, honda is going to move away from manuals
1
I really like these but the rear visbility is plain awful, not to mention the tight backseat as well mazda screwed up big time making the manual only relegated to the FWD NA version in its most expensive trim. the 2.5 turbo+awd with a manual would have made for a great alternative to a GTi or a WRX or even a GR Corolla
1
@kalmmonke5037 that would be interesting but i think the 2.5 turbo fits the demeanor of the car more as its more luxurious torque delivery to me
1
which one? the L?
1
well they ought to make a reliable motor for this first
1
@joec.5009 its a hit or miss depending on who you ask, some people are blowing these up after 60k miles (Veloster N especially) with poor oiling, others are doing fine with tunes, its hard to say, but for now i would err on the side of caution. There's also the whole DCT recall for these where the car can experience a loss of power. And this is all preceded by the fact that Hyundai/Kia are known for poor dealership/service experiences, even if they did make reliable cars

Acura of Pebody MA is honoring MSRP, but in-state buyers get priority
1
@accuratebrickinnovations ive heard some dealers ask for adm on Integra type S already but that may just be for people trying to be first in line. Im fortunate to work with one who deals in msrp
1
the 3 hatch is ugly and the c pillar is big for no reason. it also impedes visibility and cargo space
1
@kornkernel2232 until people are forced to drive small things that you can actually see out of, like hatches, MPVs and station wagon like the good ol days, nothing is going to change. its just gonna get worse with all these BS SUVs now becoming EVs
1
the integra was always compact lmao
1
@notsure3535 no not really, it still had cloth seats and the hp as the civic si/ex of the time (just more torque cuz 1.8l)
1
@deltahorizon26 pretty much this, the kicker is that a manual DE4 with rebates can be had for less than what dealers want for a normal Civic Si in my arrea, so i pounced on that deal
1
yeah but trackpad is less intutive to use when you're relying on carplay which is oriented on touch btw acura has a trackpad system of their own and people hate it
1
n line sonata is open diff only which sucks because that car needs it
1
because some of us want our hot hatches to not look like ugly catfish, if you look at hot hatches historically, even the most aggressive ones are subtle vs the elantra N. a more subtle design is also easier to make better for your own tastes also for being a "track rocket" the elantra n has quite a few luxuries itself too so...
1
@chancegocrazy small sedans are already weak, making them a wagon or hatch increases their practicality
